I always like drawing. I started painting oil in 2005 by copying images that I liked a lot to motivate me. One of the first attempt was to reproduce the XTC Nonsuch album cover. I like that image and the name so much. That's where my avatar comes from and from a photo i took of Thurston Moore in during a show in Burlington years ago. Nature and music inspires me the most.
I like Ingres, Turner, Fantin Latour, David Hockney, David, Courbet.
I like photography as well: Avedon, Arbus, Penn, Ansel Adams, David Bailey, Annie Leibovitz, Arnold Newman and my favorite: Nick Knight.
